KTCS has received Notification of award for $1M grant!
Last year, We sent in a request for funding to the NM DOT for a number of safety critical enhancements to the airport. These included eliminating the gravel area inside the gate to reduce FOD, moving the entrance gate to allow for less traffic across the ramp (FOD reduction) moving the Self serve station over to the large fuel farm area, adding a self serve JET A pump, and re- surfacing the entire Apron. Stay tuned for more updates!
KTCS receives Tractor and implements!
Thank you once again to the new Mexico DOT aviation division for the grant to allow us to purchase our beautiful John Deere tractor. we now have the capability to take care of our airport like never before.
FOD reduction working
We have received a new tool to help our airport attendants keep your ramp, runway and taxiways clean of FOD. the FOD RAZOR was purchased through a grant with the NM DOT aviation division and has reduced fod drastically while being softer on the concrete than our previously used brush system on the bobcat. Please remember to report any abnormal or concerning FOD at the airport ASAP so we can keep the airport safe!
KTCS has received a donated Courtesy car!
A huge thank you goes out to the Lafont family, the TorC chamber of commerce, and Whitehead Chevrolet for making our new courtesy car happen! it is a beautiful Lexus SUV that will surely be a great vehicle for years to come. visitors can use this by going into the office and filling out the form with the airport attendant.
